June 1, 2025: Global Day of Parents.
In 2012, the U.N. General Assembly declared the first-ever 'Global Day of Parents'. Since then, it has been held annually on June 1 to honor parental units around the world. Being a parent is one of the most universal experiences.
The Global Day of Parents in 2025 will be marked with the theme "Raising Parents." This theme highlights the fact that parenting is a learned skill and emphasizes the importance of providing parents and caregivers with the necessary resources and support to raise children in a nurturing and positive environment. As part of the observance, UNICEF will launch Parenting Month 2025, offering parenting tips, resources, and stories, according to the United Nations.
